Their flagship Pendolino train, a high-speed urban express, provides comfortable, but rather expensive journey, which can take only 2 to 3 hours.

Great Manchester conurbation can be accessed by some principal motorways. M60 is accessible from Leeds and Liverpool through M62. M61 expressway is directed north, to Scotland. M56 runs to southern regions of the country. Bus services comprise many big cities, London coaches run regularly, taking about 4 hours. National Express and Megabus run 24 hours a day. The city's main bus terminal is Chorlton Street Coach Station.
