Manchester International Airport is the largest in the UK outside of London. It provides connection with many destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. It is connected with the city by a high-speed train.
As an alternative the visitors should consider John Lennon Airport in Liverpool, served by many budget and domestic operators, for example, Jet2, Ryanair, Easyjet. A coach service runs connecting the airport to Manchester's central coach station and takes about 45 minutes. Some airlines include this transfer in their service.
Victoria railway station in the north and Piccadilly in the south are served by trains of domestic connection, including all the major UK cities. Minor station as Deansgate/G-Mex, Oxford Road and Salford Central provide transportation within the region. The high-class Virgin Voyager service by the railway operator of the same name runs to London-Euston. Great Manchester conurbation can be accessed by some principal motorways. M60 is accessible from Leeds and Liverpool through M62. M61 expressway is directed north, to Scotland. M56 runs to southern regions of the country. Bus services comprise many big cities, London coaches run regularly, taking about 4 hours. National Express and Megabus run 24 hours a day. The city's main bus terminal is Chorlton Street Coach Station.
